Mr. Johnston is currently Chief Marketing Officer at Touchpress, a global mobile application developer specialising in music & culture. He also remains a Director of Freuds, the UK’s largest consumer public relations agency, where he was a co-founder. Alongside Freuds, Mr Johnston serves on several boards including Tim Berner-Lee’s ‘Web Foundation’, the Duke of York’s ‘Pitch at the Palace’ initiative and Retail Holdings Inc, owners of the Asia-based ‘Singer’ chain of retail stores. From 2010-2012, Mr. Johnston was Executive Vice President of Omnicom, a leading international holding company for advertising and marketing service organizations. Prior to joining Omnicom, he was a senior communications advisor to PepsiCo, Inc. From 2005 to 2008, Mr Johnston founded and managed Fleming Media, a rights and media acquisition fund backed by the Fleming family.
